Hiring a Limo, cruising around town, and the “never to be mentioned” `obscene act performed upon a male Chippendale-esque stripper` (that involved baby oil, a banana, and your teeth!), are, of course, optional! However, it is tradition to dress the `bride-to-be` up. You could go for the `time honoured` costume, which consists of; Veil – with condoms stapled to it, an L plate, a garter and a bra (worn outside your clothing!). You will find that as the demand for hen night paraphernalia has become greater, shops everywhere (including your local supermarket) will stock hen night accessories. Horns (usually flashing pink), `hen night dare lists`, hen night attitude badges, balloons, and even `shot` glasses, are all available! If this does not float your boat, you could take, perhaps the more sensible and slightly classier option, of picking a theme and having the whole group in fancy dress for your hen night.
There are many popular options for group dressing up hen night fancy dress themes:
Angels/Devils hen night
Get out your halo`s and wings. Dress in white, accessorize with very popular gladiator sandals, sexy togas and go for that `butter wouldn`t melt` look!
If you are just too naughty for that, then banish the white, and go for the red hot devil look. Horns, latex, whips and attitude at the ready!
Police/Sexy Cops
Look so hot, its almost criminal, on your hen night with a cops/police hen night fancy dress theme. Grab those truncheons, get out the handcuffs, sexy blue shirts, and reflective sunglasses!
Naughty School Girls
An oldie, but a goody! Tied up white shirt, sexy tie, short skirt, stockings and high heels! You can be these hen night school girls will be favourite teachers pets!
French Maid
Do not forget your duster! Don a short black dress, white apron, stockings and high heels, to be a sexy naughty maid!
Play boy Bunny
Least amount of clothing as possible, and bunny ears!!
All of these themes are very popular, so why not add a twist to get yourself notices, make your group more unusual and stand out from the crowd on your hen night? For example, T-shirts (which are pretty cheap to have printed these days) with the brides face on them, or her name and her hen night details. Or for a more simple look, get everyone to dress in the same colour, and accessorize with cowboy hats, or wigs.
You could even try `era dressing`. Choose from 70s outfits, swinging 60s outfits, punk or Lycra 80`s, a Spice girl themed 90`s fancy dress or a 50`s house (step-ford) wives look! What about taking inspiration from the bride-to-be`s favourite TV show, pop group, singer or movie? Whatever you choose, make sure it is something everyone in your group can wear and is comfortable with, thus ensuring everyone feels included and has a good time
